The Holy Island of Lindisfarne: A popular theme for children is our favourite Viking Tour of The Holy Island of Lindisfarne or Bamburgh Castle. Rob, dressed as ‘Ragnar’ a young Viking warrior, will bring history to life with his portrayal and storytelling of some of the most fascinating history the Kingdom of Northumbria has to offer. Cross a tidal causeway to Holy Island and learn about Saints, ancient monuments and Vikings.
Bamburgh Castle (Bebbanburg): Travel to one of the most impressive castles in the world to learn more about Viking invasions and the broader history of Bamburgh. Children will enjoy being crowned ‘King’ or ‘Queen of the North’ on a stone throne in the castle grounds.
Alnwick Castle : Choose our award-winning Harry Potter and history tour of Alnwick Castle and town where children will learn to fly a broomstick in the very location that Harry, Ron and Hermione learnt to fly in the first 2 Harry Potter films. They will also learn some of the background and history to the castle and the Percy family who reside in the castle during the Winter months. In addition, we could guide children around the market town of Alnwick, taking in some of the most historic features such as Barter Books, a second hand bookshop housed in a Victorian railway station.
