Hold on to your broomsticks as we venture North to provide you with an amazing themed day trip experience of Edinburgh. We’ll start the day by hiking up Arthur’s Seat Extinct Volcano for the best view of the city and incredible views looking out to sea.
If you love Harry Potter then this trip is definitely for you. JK Rowling was inspired by so many locations and experiences in Edinburgh that resulted in the creation of many of the characters and places in the Harry Potter books. Come on a journey as we learn about how JK Rowling’s life unfolds and is quite simply the real Harry Potter story.
That being said, even if you’re not a Harry Potter fan, you will still enjoy many of the interesting stories on this tour. Learn how the Royal Mile was formed or where we get expressions such as ‘tripping the alarm’ and ‘shit-faced’. Find out about influential and interesting people in history such as Walter Scott, John Knox and Crazy Jenny. And of course it wouldn’t be a tour of Edinburgh if you didn’t learn about the legendary Greyfriars Bobby. Finally we’ll have some free time to check out some cool attractions, shops and eateries.
